A new ultra-slim skyscraper, only the width of a single apartment, is set to rise in Dubai. Known as the Muraba Veil, this 73-story tower will stand 1,247 feet tall but measure just 74 feet across. Developed by UAE-based Muraba and designed by the renowned Spanish architecture firm RCR Arquitectes, the project will feature 131 luxury apartments with two to five bedrooms. Each apartment will span the building’s entire width, inspired by traditional Arabian homes with central courtyards and elements of greenery and shade.

Located next to a canal along Sheikh Zayed Road, it will be enclosed by a unique stainless steel mesh “veil,” which reflects the changing hues of the sky. Rafael Aranda, a founding member of RCR Arquitectes, emphasized that the building’s design reflects the natural surroundings and local culture, ensuring it harmonizes with the environment.
Set for completion in December 2028, prices for apartments will start at 18 million dirham (approximately $4.9 million). Dubai’s evolving skyline, already home to record-breaking structures such as the Burj Khalifa, will soon welcome another towering structure, the Burj Azizi, which will reach 2,379 feet and is also expected to be finished by 2028. With more skyscrapers over 984 feet than any other city, Dubai continues to push architectural boundaries, adding to its impressive roster of landmarks like the highest infinity pool and the largest flower garden in the world.
