(RT) Israel has launched retaliatory airstrikes on Tehran, with the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) stating that the operation is focused solely on military targets, employing “precise strikes” to minimize collateral damage.
The response comes following Tehran’s ballistic missile attack on October 1, when nearly 200 missiles were launched at Israel. That offensive was in retaliation for the deaths of senior Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, along with an Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) general.
Iranian officials confirmed that the strikes hit military facilities in Ilam, Khuzestan, and Tehran provinces, resulting in “limited damage.” In response, Israel warned it would retaliate if Iran initiated counterstrikes.
These key military facilities in the Iranian provinces are reportedly following:-
Ilam Province: A military facility known as “محیط نظامی پدافند ارتش” (Defense Military Environment) is located close to the town of Abdanan in Ilam. It is situated near the recreational park and pond in Sarab Bagh District.
Khuzestan Province: The “پادگان دوکوهه” (Dookohe Military Barracks) is a notable military installation located near Andimeshk in Khuzestan. It is roughly 10 km southeast of the town center.
Tehran Province: As the capital, Tehran hosts several military facilities, though detailed maps for specific military locations are restricted. However, various air defense and command units are known to operate from around this region.
These facilities highlight Iran’s strategic military positioning across its western and central provinces.
