New Zealand clinched a 32-run victory over South Africa in the final of the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024.
At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, the White Ferns set a target of 159, with Amelia Kerr leading the charge with 43 runs and Brooke Halliday contributing 38. South Africa’s Nonkululeko Mlaba took two wickets as New Zealand finished at 158/5 in their allotted 20 overs.
In the chase, Kerr and Rosemary Mair both secured three wickets each, limiting South Africa to 126/9. Despite reaching the final again, the Proteas remain in search of their first T20 World Cup title, following another heartbreak after their runner-up finish in the previous edition.
